A Player Threw a No-Hitter and Hit for the Cycle IN THE SAME GAME

Baseball Is Fun

At the Cubs game earlier today, one of the questions on the big board was about which baseball event is more special: an immaculate inning, a no-hitter, or a cycle? The answers varied, but generally the latter two got the most love.

So, knowing that throwing a no-hitter and hitting for the cycle are each wild and wonderful things … how about a single payer doing both things? IN THE SAME GAME:

Truly, that’s just incredible. That has to be a first ever at the college level or higher, right? It’s pretty much impossible to imagine it happening in a pro game … well, unless Shohei Ohtani does it. That would be fun.

Congrats to Brady Ware on the EXTREMELY once-in-a-lifetime accomplishment.
