The Most Perfect Bunt You’ve Ever Seen

Baseball Is Fun

Can you tell I’m excited that baseball is back? Here I am at 8:15pm on a Monday night, writing up a 7th inning bunt from a 2-0 Padres-Mets game in April (that I wasn’t even watching). But to be fair, this bunt is literally the most perfectly executed bunt I have ever seen in my entire life. I genuinely don’t think a bunt could be better than this.

Watch – in awe – as Luis Guillome rolls one cleanly down the third base line that comes to a stop before the third base bag.

I’m sorry, but I can’t get enough of that. And the broadcasters obviously recognized the effort: “Guillome lays down a bunt that hugs the line and it might stay fair. They let it roll and it’s a fair ball! How about that! Lay it down, Ziggy. He couldn’t have rolled it out there any better. Perfect. Stayed away from the lip of the grass. Kinda touched it there, and stayed inside the chalk. Just perfection.”

They’re literally so excited for a good, old-fashioned bunt
