Another potential non-Alshon Jeffery Bears wide receiver target is off the board:
I'm told WR Kenny Stills has agreed to terms with the #Dolphins. Awesome outcome for both parties.

The Bears had been loosely connected to Stills over the past few days as a “well, if not Jeffery, maybe” kind of target, but one whom the Dolphins were always working to retain.
We’ll see how the numbers shake out, and whether the deal impacts Jeffery’s market and/or realistic asking price. The Dolphins, as near as I could tell, were not in on Jeffery, so re-signing Stills does not take a Jeffery suitor out of the high-end wide receiver market.
UPDATE: And here’s the deal:

The #Dolphins are re-signing WR Kenny Stills to a 4 year contract worth $32M, source said. He gets $20M guaranteed.

Although Stills was not expected to be in the same range as Jeffery, who is reportedly seeking upwards of five years and $72ish million, I’d seen suggestions that he was seeking as much as $12 million per year. Clearly, he came down significantly from that figure. The $20 million guarantee (I tend to think the Schefter figure is way too low) is solid, but not outlandish.
No, Stills is not the same type or caliber receiver as Jeffery, but he’s three years younger and is coming off arguably the best season of his young career. I can’t imagine this deal does much if anything to move Jeffery’s number north.
