This morning, the Chicago Bears announced the team was waiving quarterback Connor Shaw in a move that felt expected with Mitch Trubisky, Mike Glennon, and Mark Sanchez all jockeying for snaps this summer. But hold your horses, the Bears have reportedly had a change of plans:

#Bears did place WR Jhajuan Seales, an undrafted rookie free agent, on waivers

So instead of parting ways with Shaw, the Bears have waived wide receiver Jhajuan Seales – a move that does a small part in sorting the cluttered wide receivers room.
Seales was one of three undrafted free agent wide receivers signed by the Bears, who have had major turnover at the position this offseason. But with free agents Kendall Wright, Markus Wheaton, and Victor Cruz vying for playing time, perhaps the Bears saw Seales as expendable.
A four-year contributor at Oklahoma State, Seales caught 37 passes for 615 yards and four touchdowns as a senior. Over the course of his four-year college career, Seales finished with 112 catches, 1,785 receiving yards, and 12 touchdowns. That leaves Tanner Gentry as the only undrafted free agent receiver the Bears still on the roster.
With the move, the Bears’ roster remains at 90 – but with Shaw and without Seales.
