UPDATE: FOX Sports Reports Cameron Meredith Has Torn ACL

Chicago Bears

Just when you were feeling good about the start to the Bears’ preseason game against the Titans, the team was dealt with a very tough blow.

The Chicago Bears announced Cameron Meredith suffered a knee injury near the end of the first quarter and will not return. Meredith was carted off the field and fitted for an air cast.

After halftime, FOX Sports sideline reporter Pam Oliver reported Meredith suffered a torn left ACL.

Meredith, who was expected to be the Bears’ No. 1 receiver coming into the season, looked to have an early connection with Mike Glennon as he picked up 44 yards on a pair of catches. Unfortunately, his 16-yard reception was met by a pair of defenders coming in opposite directions.

Here is a look at how it happened:

Bears cornerback Prince Amukamara left the field after the first play of scrimmage with an ankle injury, and his return was listed as doubtful.
