Nick Kwiatkoski’s return to the starting lineup in place of Jerrell Freeman could be short-lived thanks to a similar injury:

Middle linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski was sent to the locker room with a pectoral injury and his return is questionable.
If that scenario sounds familiar, it’s because starting inside linebacker Jerrell Freeman suffered a torn pectoral muscle in the first quarter of Week 1’s game against the Atlanta Falcons (and played the entire game dealing with the injury). The injury was significant enough for Freeman to be placed on injured reserve this week and is expected to require him to miss at least four months.
If the Bears are down a pair of inside linebackers, the team will likely turn to Christian Jones as an immediate replacement. Hopefully Kwiatkoski’s injury is significantly less severe than Freeman’s.
