Watch Jordan Howard Give The Bears Their First Lead Of 2017

Chicago Bears

There wasn’t much to cheer for when the Bears faced the Buccaneers last week, but Jordan Howard was running like a man on a mission to change that:

The Bears’ touchdown drive was set up by a fumbled punt that was recovered by special teams ace Sherrick McManis. After recovering on the Steelers 29-yard-line, Chicago ran six straight run plays and Howard carried a bulk of the load. Howard, who was averaging just 2.7 yards per carry entering Sunday’s game, ran four times for 23 yards – an average of 5.8 yards per rush. That’ll do.

After going three-and-out on their first possession, it was impressive to see the Bears bounce back with an aggressive rushing attack. It should help open up the passing game later.

Howard’s touchdown was his second of the year and gave the Bears their first lead of the year. Hopefully, it’s the first of many.
