If you’re a fan of what is traditionally considered Chicago Bears football, then last week was right in your wheelhouse.
Bears running backs rushed 35 times, the quarterback threw it just 22 times, and the defense held the opposition to 17 points in a grind-it-out overtime win. If the Bears are going to make the Green Bay Packers their next victim, they’ll need to stay committed to the run rather than ask quarterback Mike Glennon to throw it 40 times. Chicago is 5-1 when Jordan Howard gets at least 20 carries, so the run early, run often game plan should be in full effect in front of a nationwide primetime audience.
It might not look pretty, but winning ugly is better than the alternative.
