At this time last year, the Philadelphia Eagles were working through a rebuild around a rookie quarterback who showed an ability to play at a high level in spurts. Fast forward a year and the Eagles are 9-1 and are among the favorites to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.
The Chicago Bears are currently working through a rebuild with a rookie quarterback who has shown an ability to play at a high level in spurts. What this team looks like a year from now is something I’m looking forward to seeing with my own two eyes. But we’ll cross that bridge when we get there.
In any case, the hope is for the Bears to leave Philadelphia healthy and having taken good notes on what needs to be done to build a competitive roster. And if Mitch Trubisky engineers an upset win on the road, then we’ll have quite the story on our hands.
