Adam Shaheen was a forgotten man in the offense in Week 13. The rookie tight end was on the field for just nine of the team’s 37 offensive snaps in a one-point loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
His playing time has been inconsistent, but perhaps getting into the red zone more would force the Bears to play Shaheen more often. Especially if he can keep doing this:

Shaheen’s 6-foot-6, 278-pound frame makes for an inviting target for fellow rookie Mitch Trubisky, who has thrown touchdown passes in back-to-back weeks.
After that scoring drive, Trubisky is 23 of 30 for 238 yards, a touchdown, and a 110.1 rating. This could be the second straight week with a 100+ quarterback rating for the rookie quarterback, but this week’s efforts have been most impressive.
And to think, it was this interception by Eddie Jackson of Andy Dalton that set it all up:

It’s a well-rounded effort by the Bears, who are getting close to moving to 3-0 against the AFC North.
