We Now Know The Bears’ Opponents AND Where They’ll Play In 2018

Chicago Bears

The idea of watching the Chicago Bears play the Miami Dolphins in warm, sunny Florida certainly has some extra appeal on Chicago days like today (and the last two weeks).

With the 2017 season officially in the books, we can move our focus to 2018 and dream about a late-season trip to Miami now that we know where the Bears will play their games next season.

In December, we watched as the Bears’ opponents were locked in – they’ll play teams from the AFC East, NFC West, and fellow NFC teams that also finished in last place – and here is the latest on the Bears’ opponents for the year to come:

It’s a bit of a daunting schedule considering there will be eight games against teams with winning records (including five games against teams in this year’s playoffs), potentially four games featuring Super Bowl winning quarterbacks (Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Russell Wilson, Eli Manning), and an undefeated quarterback (Jimmy Garoppolo) awaiting them in 2018.

On the other hand, this schedule features three teams that will have new head coaches and eight games against teams that finished below .500 — but just one (the New York Giants) with a lower winning percentage than the Bears’ .313.

Game times and dates will be announced later in the offseason, but I’m selfishly hoping for a late-season trip somewhere warm were the frigid temperatures can’t negatively impact an offense looking to grow in its first year under a new head coach. Of course, my public pleas will likely result in the Bears getting a December matchup against the Bills in snowy Buffalo.
