Let’s Get It On: Bears and Packers to Square Off in Season-Opener

Matt Nagy will get an immediate introduction into the NFL’s longest standing rivalry.

ESPN’s Rob Demovsky reports the Chicago Bears will face the Green Bay Packers in Week 1 of the 2018 season. And it’s a prime time game? I’m ready to get the popcorn ready.

The NFL will release its regular-season schedule on Thursday, which means we’ll soon know when the Bears will play since we already know who their opponents are for the 2018 campaign.

As a reminder, let’s revisit the Bears’ list of opponents:

  • HOME: Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New England Patriots, New York Jets
  • AWAY: Arizona Cardinals, Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, New York Giants, San Francisco 49ers, Lions, Packers, Vikings.
  • Some other games have popped up on the schedule, through various NFL reporters online and on Twitter.

The Bears will play host to the Buccaneers in Week 4. They will also get their first look at Kirk Cousins in a Vikings uniform when they play the Vikings at Soldier Field in Week 11. Chicago will also close the season (once again) in Minnesota. And beware of the Josh McCown Revenge Game™️ in Week 8 in New York against the Jets.

We’ll share the entire schedule once it becomes available.
