Heads Up, Bears Fans: Pro Football Hall of Fame Putting More Tickets on Sale for Enshrinement Ceremony

There is something to be said about making the most of the second chances life gives you.

So if you’re a Chicago Bears fan who missed out on an opportunity to by tickets to see Brian Urlacher’s enshrinement into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, this post is specifically for you.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame announced that additional tickets for the previously sold-out enshrinement ceremony will go on sale Friday. Fans looking to cash in on a second chance can purchase tickets here or here starting at 9 a.m. central time.

Urlacher was announced as a first-ballot Hall of Famer in February. The star middle linebacker joins elite company in Mike Singletary (1998), Walter Payton (1993), George Blanda (1981), Dick Butkus (1979), and Gale Sayers (1977) as Bears standouts to make it in their first year of eligibility. So much for that fear that fellow middle linebacker Ray Lewis’ presence on the ballot would prevent Urlacher from getting the call this year. Urlacher will be introduced by former position coach and defensive coordinator Bob Babich. And to tie it all together, the Bears and Ravens will play in the Hall of Fame Game on the Thursday before Saturday’s enshrinement.

And because we know you care, tickets are still available for the Hall of Fame Game with prices starting at $69. I suppose you could make a nice extended weekend out of it if you were to go to Thursday’s game – the first of the Matt Nagy era – and Saturday’s enshrinement

The Class of 2018 will feature Urlacher, Lewis, Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, Brian Dawkins, Bobby Beathard, Robert Brazile, and Jerry Kramer. So you can expect a contingent of Bears, Vikings, Eagles, and Packers fans making the trip to Canton, Ohio in August.

I, for one, am looking forward to making the trek to watch one of my favorite Bears take his rightful place among football’s immortals.
