NFL News and Rumors

If you are a CBS subscriber (via cable or through its All Access subscription network) then we have some good news to pass along to you.

CBS announced that it is expanding its All Access NFL package to be viewed on mobile devices, which means that you will soon be able to stream NFL games that are being played on on CBS. The agreement is scheduled to last through the 2022 season. Hooray!

Mobile streaming isn’t an entirely new concept to the NFL, but the league’s new streaming deal with Verizon brought a significant change to the ball game. Starting this season, non-Verizon carriers will have access to streaming game thanks to the $500 million rights deal that was ironed out in December. Previously, customers who weren’t Verizon Wireless subscribers (such as folks on Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile, and other networks) were unable to watch NFL games on their phones. Now, everybody’s in.

As an NFC team, the Bears will play a vast majority of their games on FOX. However, a quick glance at the 2018 schedule (you can check that out in its entirety here) has the team on CBS three times this season. The Bears appear on CBS in Weeks 7 and 8 when they play host to the Patriots and Jets, respectively, and again in Week 12 when they travel to square off against the Lions in the game that kicks off the Thanksgiving Day festivities.

Happy streaming, y’all!
