The Chicago Bears released their injury report today, so brace yourself for it.
Ready? OK. Here it is:
#Bears Wednesday Injury Report:
Limited: DeAndre Houston-Carson (forearm)— Chicago Bears (@BearsPR) September 19, 2018
Seriously. That’s it. No foolin’.
The Bears came away from a win on Monday Night Football without a major injury. That’s incredible. That’s unbelievable. That’s … unheard of for the Bears. (Michael: Bears need to start watching out for falling pianos and stuff. I saw that movie Final Destination. I know how this works). Most of all, this is great news for a team that’s been hamstrung by the injury bug in recent years, but is currently coming off a win with some palpable momentum.
Tarik Cohen (ankle) might’ve given us a little bit of a scare when he popped up as questionable to return late in Monday’s win, but he was seen dancing the night away during the team’s locker room victory celebration. Right guard Kyle Long was noticeably slow to get up on one play, but he didn’t miss a snap on Monday.
Safety DeAndre Houston-Carson is the only player listed on Wednesday’s injury report. Houston-Carson is no stranger to the report, seeing that he suffered a forearm injury during the Bears’ preseason win against the Denver Broncos back in August. But the rest of the injury report being clean? *chef kissing fingers* It’s a beautiful thing.
Here’s hoping more injury reports look like this as we move forward in the 2018 season.
