Two Bears starters who were limited in practice are set to re-join the team for their first game since the bye:
Prince Amukamara and Eric Kush were full participants in practice and are not on the injury report for Sunday’s game, so they’re expected to play.
Marcus Cooper is out.

Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports cornerback Prince Amukamara and Eric Kush were full participants in Friday’s practice and are expected to play against the Dolphins on Sunday. Both players were limited in practice this week, so to see the two progress to the point where each will return to the lineup is good news for a Bears team that has been the recipient of more good news than bad on the injury front this year.
Amukamara suffered a hamstring injury in Week 3 against the Cardinals and missed the team’s Week 4 smackdown of the Buccaneers. Kush popped up on the injury report Wednesday because of a neck injury that limited his practice contributions, which opened the door slightly for rookie James Daniels’ chances at getting his first start. And while that appears to be on hold for now, at least the Bears know Daniels can hold his own in a pinch should the team need to call on him. Daniels played 27 snaps in Week 4, looked good in doing so, and graded out well by Pro Football Focus’ standards.
To be honest, I’m almost unsure how to close this post. I’ve become so used to being the bearer of bad news on the injury front, I’m pretty much at a loss for words whenever I see good news. Hooray for better fortunes on the health front!
