When you see the box score at the end of the game, you’ll see that Mitch Trubisky threw a 70-yard touchdown, but just know that was all Tarik Cohen:

Cohen slithered behind a blitzing New York defense and took it to the house for the first score of the game. The Bears needed that pick-me-up after Cody Parkey missed a 40-yard field goal on the team’s first offensive possession. Between the defense showing up and Cohen’s catch-and-run, the Bears have successfully picked up their teammate.
And what a time for Matt Nagy to call a screen pass. There wasn’t anyone in Cohen’s vicinity when he caught the short toss because the Jets were bringing the heat. And there wasn’t anyone but Bears offensive linemen and receivers as he blazed down the field for 70 flippin’ yards! And did you happen to catch Taylor Gabriel’s down-field block to ensure the score? Good stuff on what was a strong team effort to get the first score of the game.
Cohen’s score put the Bears up 7-0 and looking for more.
