The first big name to be moved on the NFL’s trade deadline day is Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas, who will land in a pretty awesome situation:
Texans give up 4th round pick in 2019 and teams swap 7th round picks for Demaryius Thomas. New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles made offers and were close. Tennessee Titans came in late with offer. #9sports

There are few places better for a receiver to end up after the trade deadline than with the Houston Texans. Between Deshaun Watson throwing the ball and DeAndre Hopkins garnering a ton of attention on the other side of the field, there should be plenty of opportunities for Thomas to thrive deep in the heart of Texas (and deep in the opponents secondary).
I would probably be saying the same things about Thomas had he ended up on the New England Patriots (because who wouldn’t want to catch passes from Tom Brady?) or Philadelphia Eagles (good luck defending Carson Wentz with more weapons than he had before), but neither came with as good of a punch line. So for the sake of this post, I’m glad it was the Texans who got it done.
NOTE: It looks like the Lions are sending Golden Tate to the Eagles for a third rounder. More on that in a second!
