When you’re hot, you’re hot. And when you’re the Chicago Bears, winners of back-to-back games and the leader of a division, oddsmakers will to continue to ride that wave:
#Bears open as a 6-point favorite over #Lions for next Sunday's game at Soldier Field at Westgate SuperBook according to my guy @JoeFortenbaugh

The line has since moved to 6.5 points in favor of Chicago, which suggests some early money has come in for the home team. And why not? Counting this week, the Bears have been favored in three straight games and five of their last six. On top of that, the team is 4-2 against the spread when favored. These are encouraging numbers the betting public hopes will continue in Week 10.
It’s worth noting that the over/under for Sunday’s Bears-Lions game has been set at 45, which hints at the oddsmakers’ apparent belief that this game will be higher scoring than what they expected from Bears-Bills. The point total for the Bears’ Week 9 matchup against Buffalo was 38, a total the Bears covered by themselves by scoring 41 points. For what it’s worth, the over has come through in five of the Bears’ last six games. That’s a trend worth watching as the offense continues to grow and gel … just in time for the temperatures to drop.
And to think, the line could move a bit more in the coming days when the team reveals the progress of injured outside linebacker Khalil Mack and receiver Allen Robinson.
Mack and Robinson have been held out of action the last two weeks because of injuries, but the Bears took care of business without them suiting up. In a perfect world, we’ll find out the time off has done wonders for a pair of impact starters who will be ready to get on the field on Sunday to start a stretch of three games in 11 days. A first-place team in the NFC North that adds healthy players could continue to seethe love from the folks in Vegas.
