The Chicago Bears are having a charmed season.
An injection of new talent led by a first-year head coach has the team in first place in the NFC North on Thanksgiving Day. That’s a big deal. But for this wonderful story to continue, it will need another surprise performance from an unexpected hero.
You’re up, Chase Daniel.
Daniel starts at quarterback in place of Mitch Trubisky, who was officially ruled OUT for Thursday’s Thanksgiving throw-down. Moving from Trubisky to Daniel means the Bears will be without the athleticism and upside their second-year quarterback possesses, while hoping Daniel’s veteran guile, moxie, and knowledge of Matt Nagy’s offense can guide the Bears to a win that would help them extend their lead in the NFC North to start Week 12.
