The Chicago Bears have a lead thanks to touchdowns from Adam Shaheen and Akiem Hicks.
No, seriously:
I hope you started Akiem Hicks at RB today! https://t.co/jioPmAad0Z

I guess Hicks’ Achilles injury is healed now.
Hicks scored on 4th-and-goal with a 1-yard plunge to give the Bears their first lead of the day. The touchdown run capped a nine-play, 74-yard drive with a moment that had older Bears fans thinking back to the days of William “The Refrigerator” Perry running way into the end zone as well as the hearts of football fans with his short-yardage excellence.
The touchdown came a few plays after Allen Robinson made a play that might look awfully familiar to Giants fans:

And to pull off the helmet catch against ex-Bear B.W. Webb makes it that much sweeter. David Tyree who?
It’s been a grind and it’s been ugly, but the Bears have their first lead in a game where nothing has been going right for their offense. A stop ahead of the halftime whistle will do wonders for our confidence heading into the second half of this slug-fest against the Giants.
