No shocker here:
#Bears Inactives at NYG:
#10 Trubisky
#11 White
#27 McManis
#30 Cunningham
#69 Coward
#83 Wims
#97 Williams— Chicago Bears (@BearsPR) December 2, 2018
Chicago Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky will miss his second straight start due to an injured right shoulder. Even though Trubisky has shown progress late in the week by throwing in Friday’s practice and with a light session on Sunday morning in New York, another week on the inactive list shows that his shoulder isn’t quite up to snuff. So while we’d rather see Trubisky in the lineup going up against Eli Manning and the Giants, we know it’s probably for the best that he sits this one out.
And who knows, maybe there are things he can pick up while learning on the sidelines and watching Chase Daniel put in work against another NFC foe.
As for the rest of the Bears’ inactive list, here it is:

Joining Trubisky among the inactives are special teams standouts Benny Cunningham and Sherrick McManis, who didn’t travel with the team to New York this weekend. Wide receivers Kevin White and Javon Wims are also sitting this one out, meaning the only active wide receivers for this game day are Allen Robinson, Taylor Gabriel, Anthony Miller, and Joshua Bellamy.
Two notable names who aren’t on the inactive list are defensive linemen Akiem Hicks and Bilal Nichols. Hicks missed two practices while resting an Achilles injury, while Nichols was limited on Friday due to a knee issue. That neither player popped up among the inactives is great news for a Bears rushing defense that will have its hands full trying to stop Saquon Barkley.
We’ll have more for you when Pre-Gamin’ posts later in the morning.
