That’s as good of a start as you could draw up for the Chicago Bears.
The defense came through with a three-and-out, forced a punt, then unleashed Jordan Howard in a way we haven’t seen all season long. Chicago went on a 6-play, 71-yard drive, which was punctuated by this:

Howard was set up by his own darn self, running for 55 yards on three carries. Who is this guy and where has he been all year!?
It’s been a while since the Bears were able to successfully establish Howard on the ground, so to do so in Week 17 against a stout run defense is a positive sign. More, please.
The Bears will need to keep this up. Not just to engage the Vikings in a game of keep-away, but to also keep up with the Rams — who are beating the 49ers early in their game.
