In case you missed it, drama reached all-time highs throughout Packerland last week as details surrounding the demise of the Mike McCarthy era surfaced.
The ex-Packers coach unloaded on the front office after he felt blindsided by his in-season firing in a one-on-one interview with a long-time beat reporter. And in a separate story, an anecdote accusing McCarthy of missing meetings to get massages in his office was part of a larger piece in which all sorts of sources (scouts, ex-teammates, etc.) went in on quarterback Aaron Rodgers and shared details of his strained relationship with his head coach. For what it’s worth, much of it was Rodgers’ own doing – including reported instances of Rodgers freezing out teammates and undermining coaches’ orders.
It was a rough time to be a Green Bay Packers fan, to be sure.
And while things were going off the rails on the offensive side of the ball, safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix was well out of harm’s way:
On my life I was blind to all this during my time in the Bay.

So glad I stayed out the mix wow.

Clearly, Clinton-Dix is wise beyond his years. Locker-room drama involving the team’s best and most valuable player can be a messy situation. And based on what was shared last week, it couldn’t get any messier than what was happening north of the border in Wisconsin.
The only locker room drama at Soldier Field these days is picking the song that plays in #ClubDub after wins. Maybe Clinton-Dix can get in on it starting with a victory against his former teammates in Week 1. Nothing will add fuel to the fire like losing to the Bears in front of a national audience in prime time to start the season.
