All-Pro cornerback Kyle Fuller was given the honors to model the Bears’ new look, which is no easy task. So to say that he rocked it in his uniform modeling debut.
I suppose that it also helps that I’m digging the design. I’m a fan of the bold, blue numbers, as well as the striped socks. The Bears’ centennial patch (which wasn’t shown on last week’s leak) looks sharp and doesn’t look to be out of place on the uniform. I’d like the helmet more if it was a solid blue, and I’m not sure how the vertical stripes will look on someone who isn’t wearing shoulder pads. But the overall look is pretty clean. Thumbs up!
These new classics replace the Monsters of the Midway throwbacks for the season and will be worn at home in Week 4 (Sept. 29) against the Vikings and Week 14 (Dec. 5) against the Cowboys. That means Minnesota and Dallas will be wearing colored jerseys on the road, which is a rarity in the NFL. Apparently, the Cowboys’ blue jerseys are cursed. I don’t believe in curses, but I’m OK if this one helps the Bears lock in a win against the reigning NFC East champs.
And, yes, the uniforms are now available for purchase online:
