Mitch Trubisky makes “wow” plays.
And while those plays are often made with his feet and creativity inside (and outside) the pocket, Trubisky served up a reminder that he has the arm talent to make amazing happen:

OK, No. 10. I see you!
Trubisky’s pocket presence was totally there, his footwork was precise, and throw was on the money, dropping a dime just above the out-stretched reach of first-team All-Pro cornerback Kyle Fuller and into the hands of Taylor Gabriel. What else could you want other than Pro Bowl quarterback beating All-Pro corner with an accurate toss? I mean, other than Gabriel taking the party into the front row and having a seat with the fans as part of his celebration. That was pretty neat!
This summer is a big one for Trubisky, who could be on the cusp of a special season if he makes throws like that when pads are on and games count in the standings. The more throws like that he makes now, the more confidence he will build leading up to the regular season opener. And when confidence and talent come together, we could be seeing a bunch of throws like that on opening night against the Packers.
