The Chicago Bears have a new fan, and just in time to catch the latest installment of the NFL’s longest-running rivalry:

As part of his “Peyton’s Places” series on ESPN+, future Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning declared his allegiance to the Chicago Bears in the most unique way possible. Manning rocked a Walter Payton jersey, dunked his head in “Italian beef juice” with an assist from Saturday Night Live legends George Wendt and Robert Smigel, and emerged from “the juice” proclaiming “Packers suck!” as part of a ceremony baptizing him into Bears super-fandom.

Welcome to the right side of the rivalry, Peyton.

There is something so right about the Bears starting their centennial season with a prime-time showdown against the Packers to kick off the NFL’s 100th year. But adding Manning to the mix of Bears fans is like getting extra hot on your beef sandwich.
