Bears Hype Level: EXTREME READINESS

Although the fixation on projections and debates about ratings – over and under – will not stop simply because the 2019 NFL season gets underway, I can say for me, personally, I’m just so freaking ready for there to be ACTUAL football to discuss.

Will the Bears defense take a considerable step back under Chuck Pagano? Will depth questions on both sides of the line create problems? Will Mitch Trubisky take a big step forward in his second year with Matt Nagy’s offense? Is David Montgomery gonna blow our minds? Look, I get the questions. I like the questions. But I’m done with them for now. I want Bears football.

To that end, I am in the mood to get hyped as I await Bears/Packers tonight (at the same time as Cubs/Brewers … hoo boy, it’s gonna be a crazy night for me). Thus, ENGAGE HYPE MODE:
