The Bears and Packers couldn’t have all of the spotlight as their game kicks off the NFL’s centennial season. Nope. Not on Antonio Brown’s watch.
The Next Chapter: Antonio Brown and GM Mike Mayock got into it Wednesday, and the team is now planning to suspend its star wide receiver, league sources tell ESPN.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Raiders are planning to suspend wide receiver Antonio Brown. The suspension is stemming from an issue between Brown and first-year Raiders GM Mike Mayock, because of course it does.
In an Instagram post, Brown posted a letter sent from Mayock that detailed his fine for missing a practice and walk-through back in August. Evidently, Mayock caught wind of the post, didn’t take a liking to Brown posting his fine letter on social media, and took action against the talented pass-catcher.
Check out the letter for yourself:

And here I am thinking we were in the clear for a few days with AB-related drama. Remember Brown’s other August dilemma? You know, the one where Brown suffered frost-bitten feet because he didn’t wear proper footwear during a cryotherapy session, then threatened to retire because the NFL would not permit him to wear his preferred helmet in what was ultimately a publicity stunt and cash grab for a new helmet provider. Now, Brown is beefing with the general manager who traded for him, gave him new wads of guaranteed money, and made him a face of the franchise’s move to Las Vegas. Go figure.
There will be more to come later in the next installment of “As Antonio Brown’s World Turns.”
