Chase Daniel Gets the Bears on the Scoreboard With a Touchdown Pass to Tarik Cohen

Chicago Bears

The Chase Daniel takeover is here.

In relief of an injured Mitch Trubisky, Daniel — the Bears’ backup quarterback – completed 4 of 5 passes for 52 yards and this touchdown to Tarik Cohen:

BOOM! Cohen’s first touchdown just capped a scoring drive that chewed up nearly half of the first quarter clock and gave the Bears an early lead. Two birds, one stone, and seven points. You gotta love it.

As for the situation under center, no team wants to lose its starting quarterback, but at least Daniel has the necessary experience and knowledge of the offense that should allow him to hold down the fort while Trubisky is down. How long that is remains to be seen, but we’ll continue to monitor that situation as details emerge.
