The Chicago Bars’ roster shuffle continued with familiar faces returning to the roost.

The Bears re-signed defensive lineman Abdullah Anderson to the practice squad. You might remember Anderson as one of the defensive linemen who was up in a pinch as a short-handed defense needed some additional bulk up front with Akiem Hicks and Bilal Nichols out of action. Anderson played 22 snaps on Sunday, but was waived in order to clear a spot on the roster on Monday.
There was a moment in which we believed promoting Tyler Bray from the practice squad would be the most sensible way to fill that open space on the roster. Instead, the Bears re-signed tight end Bradley Sowell to the 53-man roster. A curious decision, considering that Chicago has four more healthy tight ends than it does healthy quarterbacks. But I suppose there is still time to make more moves before the team takes its talents across the pond to London.
