Growing up in the attitude era of professional wrestling, I found myself going back watching some old matches throughout the week while piecing together content leading up to Bears-Chargers because this game has the feel of one of those old-school “Loser Leaves Town” matches.
Bears-Chargers would have been a realistic Super Bowl possibility prior to the season. Both teams were coming off 12-win seasons and had untapped upside entering the year. But both squads have struggled out of the gate, which leaves Sunday’s matchup as one that could save someone’s season. And that is *BEFORE* we consider future possibilities for either team’s quarterback (or more specifically, the Bears).
The hype is real …
… as is the reality that a loss today is the beginning of the end of some team’s playoff hopes.
Go Bears!
