TOP 10 SAFETIES
- Xavier McKinney, Alabama
- Grant Delpit, LSU
- Ashtyn Davis, California
- Antoine Winfield Jr., Minnesota
- Terrell Burgess, Utah
- Kyle Dugger, Lenoir-Rhyne
- J.R. Reed, Georgia
- Brandon Jones, Texas
- Julian Blackmon, Utah
- Brian Cole II, Mississippi State
These prospects have met with the Bears: Rodney Clemons, SMU; Jeremiah Dinson, Auburn; Antoine Brooks Jr., Maryland; Geno Stone, Iowa; Jeremy Chinn, Southern Illinois
One to watch: Jeremy Chinn played at a small school, but showed big-time skills with the Salukis and more than held his own against the big boys at the Senior Bowl. Some talent evaluators might see him as something of a tweener who isn’t quite a safety or a linebacker, but testing well at the Combine will likely bring clarity to his future in the pros.
