With the NFL’s waiver period opening at 11 a.m. CT, I decided to take some time in today’s Bits to highlight players who could be intriguing to the Bears. And while Chicago might be interested in tweaking its 53-man roster at some point later this week, they’re standing pat for the moment.
The Bears did not make any waiver claims on Sunday. And none of the players they placed on waivers were claimed either. In fact, it was a relatively quiet trip on the waiver wire around the league. All things considered, movement was minimal:

There are still a number of players who were waived who I think could help round out the Bears’ roster. But instead of needing to scoop them up off the waiver wire, Chicago could outright sign them as free agents.
So while the Bears’ 53-man roster is set (for now), but the team still has to fill out its 16-player practice squad. In short, more movement should be on the horizon.
