Positive vibes have been brewing as Robert Quinn practiced in limited capacity on Wednesday and Thursday. And while that certainly counted as progress – given that he didn’t practice ahead of Week 1 – I’ve been patiently awaiting Friday’s injury report before really letting myself get too excited.
But we’re here … and now I can, because Quinn was a *FULL* participant in Friday’s practice.
And while the Bears are listing him as “questionable” to play, being a full-go on Friday points towards his complete snap share availability opposite Khalil Mack. Woohoo! Party time.
Speaking of Mack, he was limited in Friday’s practice, which marks the sixth consecutive practice in which Mack had limitations due to a knee issue. My preference would be to not see Mack or Quinn on the injury report at all, but the news isn’t all bad.
In fact, Mack still expects to play:
Bears OLB Khalil Mack on being limited in practice because of his knee: "It's nothing really too much different. I know I'm going to be ready on Sunday. That's all that matters."

This is good news for the Bears and a defense that allowed way too much in yardage and points to the Lions last week. Not so much for the Giants, who are coming off a short week and a loss on Monday Night Football in their season-opener against the Steelers.
Here’s the injury report in all of its glory:

Not much to worry about here. Ted Ginn Jr. and Jimmy Graham – who were given veteran rest days earlier in the week – were full participants in Thursday and Friday Practices. Akiem Hicks, who did not practice on Thursday because of an illness, was a full-go and is off the injury report.
It appears as if all signs are pointing to a fully armed and operational Bears defense on Sunday against the Giants. Get hyped!
