As has been the case throughout the year, Allen Robinson would rather talk about the football in front of him than anything else.
Or in other words, the saga regarding a possible contract extension with the Chicago Bears continues, with a non-update type of update:
Allen Robinson said of contract negotiations with the Bears: "We know where we stand at this point. Right now, I'm just trying to focus on the Falcons."

And while Robinson expressed appreciation for Tarik Cohen’s comments about leaving money on the table from his own extension in order for Robinson to get his from Bears, it doesn’t feel like the two sides are closer to announcing a deal than they were when Robinson spoke last week.
Nevertheless, optimism a deal gets done at some point remains. Late last week, it was reported that Robinson’s representatives and the Bears resumed contract talks. There was even hope a deal could get done before Week 2 kicked off. And as far as trade talks are concerned, those might as well be considered squashed because the team turned down offers that came in after Robinson’s social media activity hinted at his displeasure with the team. There is no deadline to get a deal done. But it’s going to be a topic of conversation until further notice.
And that’s whether Robinson wants to talk about it or not.
