Don’t ask why my mind went to this place while doing some general light reading, but I came to the conclusion I’m going to spend a healthy chunk of time at home this fall/winter. And with that in mind, I decided to splurge on three new sets of bed sheets. At least I’ll sleep well … right?
• Happy Bearsless Sunday, friends! Bearslessness is great when the team enters the day having already secured a win. This allows us to watch football without sweating every detail of game day. Life is good.
• Visible happiness:

• Locally in Chicago, CBS will show Raiders-Chiefs and Giants-Cowboys in doubleheader action. Meanwhile, FOX carries Eagles-Steelers at noon. What I wouldn’t give to watch someone OTHER than the Cowboys this afternoon. Sigh. I guess some football is better than no football. Let’s face it. We should know better than to take games for granted, especially when considering what else is happening around the league.
• At what point does the NFL consider tacking on another week to its schedule in order to fit in games that are postponed due to COVID-19. You really can’t shuffle the schedule forever. Moreover, the league should start talking more seriously about a postseason bubble. Don’t get me wrong. Starting a season was worth a tip of the cap. HOWEVER, what’s the point of starting something if you’re not going to finish it?
• I’m trying to wrap my mind around how the Bears and Allen Robinson haven’t come to an extension agreement at this point. In addition to entering Sunday as the league’s leader in receiving yards, the guy is doing great things in the community:
• Productive on the field. Positive influence off of it. Those two things are high on my check list of what I’m looking for in a player who I want on my favorite team for the foreseeable future.
• Can’t get enough of that Jimmy Graham one-handed touchdown? Well, that makes two of us:

• Remember that winning ugly is still winning:
"Let me tell you something men, there is, in my mind, no such thing as an ugly win. A win is a win is a win, it's a thing of beauty."@AmyTrask believes that despite how the Bears are winning, they are still 4-1 and in the hunt for the NFC North. pic.twitter.com/jKrRtsKPq9

• Say what you want about Mitchell Trubisky, but you can never (ever!) take this away from him:
Joe Burrow trying to become just the second rookie QB to win at M&T Bank Stadium against a John Harbaugh-coached Ravens team. The other? Chicago's Mitch Trubisky in 2017. In their history, Ravens are 17-2 at home against rookie QBs

• There is an obvious focus on what’s happening on the college quarterback scene. And while I’d like to talk about Kyle Trask, if given a chance to pick between him and tight end Kyle Pitts, I’m taking Pitts and not thinking twice about it:
Forget the top tight end, Florida’s Kyle Pitts might be one of the top players in the 2021 draft, period.
His size, athleticism, ball skills and physicality are all on another level. pic.twitter.com/VP4csHRqCR

• I realize North Carolina quarterbacks aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, but Sam Howell (draft eligible in 2022) looks like the truth:
Howell had ~ zero ~ deep ball completions in his two games prior today, after having the second-most among P5 QBs in 2019… HE’S BACK pic.twitter.com/N40Hjfmpjt

• I loved watching a meme happen in real-time:

• An old friend gets a second chance:
The 49ers have elevated WR Kevin White from the practice squad to the active roster for Week 5. He’s back to help a team dealing with some WR injuries.
