You didn’t expect a head coach to say anything TOO definitive, right?
With the Bears down a multi-use running back (Tarik Cohen), and with the Jets cutting ties with Le’Veon Bell, it hasn’t been hard to speculatively connect those dots. Paired with David Montgomery, Bell could be a really nice addition to this Bears offense, even if as additional depth.
When asked about the new free agent, Matt Nagy said only this about Bell:
"I think he's a good running back. . . That's stuff I leave up to Ryan. We absolutely love our RB situation." #Bears HC Matt Nagy on Le'Veon Bell.

Asked about the recently-released Le’Veon Bell, Nagy says, “I think he’s a good RB.” But Nagy adds: “We absolutely love our RBs here and our situation, and I’ll leave the stuff up to Ryan (Pace).” #bears

A very statesman-like answer from Nagy, though it’s not hard to imagine that he’d love another weapon to add to the mix after the loss of Cohen.
I don’t expect Bell to linger out there for too many weeks, so if Nagy is leaving it to Pace, then here’s hoping Pace has been making some phone calls.
