Well, the Chicago Bears’ interior offensive line is a disaster, exposed quite clearly last night – and really for the last several weeks after the James Daniels injury – and the latest available plug-and-play is … signing with another team.
Per the Cincinnati Enquirer, former Bills guard Quinton Spain is not only visiting with the Bengals this week, but if his tests all go well, he’s signing with the team. In other words, the Bengals offensive line is also a disaster, but they appear to be doing something about it.
Now we’re left to hope that Cody Whitehair’s calf injury last night was no big deal (neither keeping him out nor degrading his performance), that Germain Ifedi can get a lot better, and that Rashaad Coward can take a huge step forward with regular action. It’s almost like the offensive line, which was the subject of major concerns last year, too, should’ve been more significantly addressed this offseason?
