The Bears received good news when reports that Allen Robinson cleared concussion protocol and was expected to play in today’s game against the Saints surfaced on Saturday morning. A day later, a trio of other injured standouts reportedly received the green light to get after it on Sunday.
News from NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport:
#Bears WR Cordarrelle Patterson (quad), LB Khalil Mack (ankle), and DB Eddie Jackson (knee) are all in a position where they appear healthy enough to play vs. #Saints, sources say.

Khalil Mack, Eddie Jackson, and Cordarrelle Patterson are “in a position where they appear healthy enough to play,” tweets Rapoport. It’s a sign of progress for Mack, Jackson, and Patterson, each of whom spent time on the injury report this week. All three were “questionable” to play on Sunday.
Mack missed two practices because of an ankle issue. It’s also the third different injury that’s put him on the injury report this year. Obviously, we’ll continue to keep tabs on his health as the year goes on. Jackson (knee) was a full participant in Friday’s practice after going through it with limitations earlier in the week. Patterson’s quad injury resulted in two missed practices. There were plenty of concerns earlier in the week, but seeing a positive report shared by Rapoport eases the mind a bit.
I reckon this is as healthy as the Bears will get for today’s game. Go get ’em!
