Jadeveon Clowney has no sacks and has been limited to just three tackles-for-loss, and six quarterback hits in seven games.
And yet, the three-time Pro Bowler demands respect because he can break out and wreck a ballgame at a moment’s notice. But for that to happen, he’ll need to be on the field. As of right now, there exists a possibility where that won’t happen this weekend when the Titans face the Bears.
News from NFL Network insider Mike Garafolo:
From NFL Now on @nflnetwork earlier: Sounds like the #Titans could very well be without Jadeveon Clowney Sunday vs. the #Bears and then possibly vs. the #Colts on a short week. (Also adding to this: he didn't practice today.) pic.twitter.com/O6yU2943md

Clowney has missed the first two practices of the week, putting his availability for Sunday’s game against the Bears in doubt. That’s certainly a relief for a Chicago team that could be starting four backup offensive linemen in Week 9. But for Clowney, it would be the latest tough break for a career that appeared so promising, but has tapered off in recent years.
Tennessee has struggled to create much of a pass-rush this season. And I imagine the thought of playing the Bears offensive line is reason enough for some to believe that he should push through and play through an injury. But a healthy Clowney hasn’t helped a beleaguered pass-rush to this point. So maybe he is better off resting up and re-evaluating things for the Titans’ next game against the Colts (which is the Thursday Night Football game for Week 10).
