You think it can’t get more embarrassing than that pantsing by the Packers on national TV with a shot at actually getting back into the divisional race, and then today happens. The Bears blew a double-digit lead in the 4th quarter at home against the Lions. It’s pointless to try to script embarrassing stories in your mind, because the Bears will do far better than you could imagine. This was absolute chef kiss stuff.
I just thought it would be fun – the sick, dark, bathe yourself in shit kind of fun – to really drink in just how embarrassing that was. And to know(?) that there’s just no damn way ownership can justify not making huge changes at this point. Right? Right?! RIGHT?!?
To that end, the instant reactions to what we just saw. They really sum things up:
Wow. #Bears lose. On third-and-4, Allen Robinson catches pass, but inexplicably goes out of bounds a yard short of first down. Had an easy first down. Then David Montgomery gets stopped for no gain on fourth-and-1 from the Lions' 19 with :11 left. Absolutely heartbreaking loss.

That is as bad of a loss in the NFL as you will ever get. On every level. Just unfathomable.

Damn dawg . That’s bad

You got your game where you put the Lions in a must-pass situation so your pass rushers could/should take over, and Stafford shredded them from clean pockets.
Everything is broken with this organization.

Bad teams find ways to lose, and the Bears just did that. Bad execution on Trubisky losing fumble. Bad decision-making on A-Rob tiptoeing out of bounds yard shy of marker. Bad, bad, bad. Offensive implosion, organizational disaster. Bears fall to 5-7 as losing streak hits 6.

The last time the Bears lost 6 games in a row, Brian Urlacher was in his 3rd season with the team. Lovie Smith had not yet been a head coach.
They didn't even manage this during the 2014 Trestman dumpster fire.

But back to this- if last week wasn't already rock-bottom and pushing George McCaskey etc over the edge, this game surely has to. https://t.co/lPJGvwD9Zw

The #Bears don't fire coaches during the season. Never have. But I think it's coming, as early as tomorrow. Halas Hall will be very interesting this week..

Nobody survives this. https://t.co/YLZl0GgpVt

Why have the Bears fallen apart over the last two seasons?
"I don't know," Matt Nagy says.
And that's why he's done.
