Old friends will get together tomorrow in Jacksonville with the fate of two franchises potentially hanging in the balance.
I’ve been looking forward to this:
Jacksonville going back to Mike Glennon as its starting QB vs. the Chicago Bears. Revenge game, sort of….

It’s happening. Again.
We’ve got Mike Glennon squaring off against Mitchell Trubisky for the first time since training camp 2017. Back then, Glennon was trying to prove he was worth the free agent contract he landed in March 2017. Meanwhile, Trubisky was aiming to show he was worthy of being selected No. 2 overall a month after Glennon’s signing. Trubisky climbed up the quarterback depth chart, sliding into the QB2 role during training camp and replacing Glennon after four regular season games. Makes you want to let out a hearty laugh when you remember Trubisky started the summer as QB3 behind Glennon and Mark Sanchez, doesn’t it?
The spotlight will be a bit brighter now than it was in Bourbonnais during the summer of 2017, as something more is at stake than a starting job for a 10+ loss team.
The Bears are playing for their postseason lives. Trubisky is playing for a future in the NFL. And the Jaguars are playing to maintain their position in order to draft Trevor Lawrence. So much for your run-of-the-mill revenge game.
