Cole Kmet is a monster, and thank God he was finally stopped.
I mean, just look at this absolutely disgusting display of unsportsmanlike skulduggery:
Cole Kmet throws the ball to the official, refs call it “taunting”…turn 3rd and 5 in the red zone to 3rd and 20 #CHIvsNO pic.twitter.com/YN30tGLkdJ

No, but seriously, that is one of the worst penalties I’ve ever seen. Not only did Kmet not “taunt,” he tossed the ball PERFECTLY into the ref’s arms. Not Kmet’s fault that the ref can’t catch …
Some reflection on the absolutely absurd call, which probably didn’t change the course of the game, but sure didn’t help:
The officials told #Bears coach Matt Nagy that TE Cole Kmet was throwing the football "at a player" and that's why he received the unsportsmanlike penalty.
Brutal. He was obviously throwing it to the referee.

#Bears TE Cole Kmet said officials told him that he was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct when flipped the ball at #Saints safety Malcolm Jenkins. He said Jenkins joked with him later that the refs got the call wrong.

#Bears TE Cole Kmet on his penalty after the whistle: "Me and 27 went down to the ground on the tackle. We both were kinda just laughing at the play. I tossed the ball to the ref and there was a flag on the ground". Kmet said Jenkins even told him he got away with one.

And, the best of all … EGREGIOUSLY:
Cole Kmet said the personal foul called on him was the first of his football career, at any level. The officials felt he threw the ball "egregiously" at Malcolm Jenkins, who later told Kmet the Saints got away with one.

Too bad Kmet didn’t even get his money’s worth. He could have smacked a guy and gotten himself ejected …
