There has been plenty of noise out of the Russell Wilson camp regarding the QB’s unhappiness in Seattle, including (1) buzz about a “not-sustainable” situation, (2) a discussion from Wilson’s camp about various trade destinations, and (3) that time his agent named only four teams (including the Bears) to which his client would accept a deal.
And the heat has continued to ratchet up here lately:
If the @Seahawks weren't fielding offers for Russell Wilson at this point, they'd be committing malpractice. Their QB is clearly unhappy. @nflnetwork @AndrewSiciliano pic.twitter.com/HYnq7ySTmn

NFL Network insider Michael Silver hears the Seahawks aren’t happy with how things are going right now. And why would they be? As an old adage goes: “Ain’t no fun when the rabbit’s got the gun.”
Silver added “I think the situation is worse than I previously believed” and that the team should be willing to have conversations, because Wilson is *THAT* unhappy right now. Now, he wouldn’t go as far as to suggest that the Seahawks are fielding calls. But that’s no longer a shared belief.
Tony Softli, who spent four years as the Rams’ VP of Player Personnel and also has scouting experience with the Panthers (among other meaningful NFL connections), had this to say recently (emphasis mine): “Pete Carroll and John Schneider have not come out and said anything like, Hey, listen, stop. This isn’t going to happen. ‘Russ is our guy. Thanks a lot, you guys have a good offseason.’ No. They’re starting to take calls.”
And, after some clarification on who was doing the dialing, he’s not alone in that report:
I was told the Seahawks are not “shopping” Russell Wilson but calls made from other teams inquiring have been answered. https://t.co/NjQAydY012

Seahawks have taken calls but not made them.

Those are some spicy meatballs!
… And also the first inclination that perhaps Seattle finally understands the situation they’re in with Wilson. If that’s the case, and the Seahawks are actually, finally willing to listen to offers, then maybe there’s a real chance he gets moved. For what it’s worth, the Bears have been “really persistent” in reciprocating Wilson’s interest so far. It’s just been that there hasn’t been any certainty that Seattle would be interested in making a blockbuster deal. Maybe that stance is thawing, though.
