Justin Fields is expected to get a lot of work in the preseason.
And when he takes his first steps, he will have a nationwide audience watching.
That’s because the NFL Network is airing each of the Chicago Bears’ three preseason games live. The network’s coverage of Chicago’s preseason includes a quadruple-header on Aug. 14 with Bears-Dolphins kicking off the action at noon CT. Same for Preseason Week 2, when Fields and the Bears host the Bills and Mitchell Trubisky’s return on Aug. 21. And the preseason slate concludes on Aug. 28, with Bears-Titans being the middle game of a NFL Network triple-header at 6 p.m. CT.
So much Bears. And the potential for so much Justin Fields. Swoon.
Locally, things won’t change much. Fans in the Chicagoland area and Bears network viewing region will still get games on FOX-32 with Adam Amin on the call. So, if that’s your bag, then it’ll be right there for you. But for Bears fans who are scattered throughout the country, and elsewhere, this is significant news. So clear your schedules and prepare to cram your eyeballs with as much Justin Fields action as Matt Nagy allows this summer. It might be the most we see the QB1-of-the-future for a while.
Well, unless it isn’t…
