I can’t wait to see this with my own eyes next week:

See you cool cats next Monday?
• Let the camp hype begin:
• I see Eddie Goldman in this photoset, and must add that he looks GOOD:

• Trey Lance signed his rookie contract with the 49ers on Wednesday morning. The deal is worth $34.1 million in guarantees over the next four years. And it leaves Zach Wilson, the second overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, as the only first-round pick without a deal. Imagine not having your quarterback-of-the-future already in camp. Wilson was already going to have a tough transition. Going from BYU to NYC was never going to be easy. But now Wilson and in the team are at odds over a contract and he’s missing the start of camp. That isn’t how one should start their professional career.
• And then there’s Justin Fields, who’s been in the fold since June and already making a good impression on Allen Robinson II:

• And it’s not just Robinson. Fields is putting together some things that have opened eyes at Bears camp:
Did somebody wanna talk #Bears QBs? While veteran Andy Dalton has been declared the starter, Justin Fields has put together a pretty nice rookie off-season thus far… Report! #NFLNow @nflnetwork pic.twitter.com/LRynWiMlyY

• I’m not ready to go full-throat and predict Justin Fields will start for the Bears in Week 1. However, Fields can totally force their hand with a good training camp. As a Bears fan, that’s what you should be rooting for this summer. Hope Fields performs well enough to make GM Ryan Pace and Head Coach Matt Nagy have tough conversations about what to do at quarterback.
• Love hearing this when it comes to A-Rob:
Allen Robinson, heading into his 8th year, said he’s had his best offseason to date. Focused a lot on top-end speed in his training. #Bears pic.twitter.com/gHtdoXPxxt

• Some guys shut it down when they don’t get what they want from a contract. But then there are players like Robinson, who seem to get motivation from a contract snub. Keep on keeping on, #12.
• Robinson said he wasn’t surprised by the lack of movement on the contract front, writes the Sun-Times’ Patrick Finley, And I suppose I’m not either. But that doesn’t mean the two sides can’t iron something out. It’s just that it can’t happen until next offseason. Hopefully, Robinson gives the Bears something to think about. And, in turn, Chicago’s front office gives Robinson an opportunity to grow with Justin Fields moving forward.
• Brent Sobleski (B/R) is feeling frisky, offering up one trade each NFL team should throw out there before the 2021 NFL season begins. For the Chicago Bears, Sobleski proposes a deal for Patriots receiver N’Keal Harry. A first-round pick in 2019, Harry has a unique prospect pedigree. But it hasn’t turned into anything of substance on the field to this point. Maybe the Bears could see in Harry what the Texans saw in Anthony Miller in their trade. Or maybe Chicago can continue to work around the edges with their signings. In any case, we have expanded thoughts on Harry as a fit.
