Bears fans can’t get enough of Justin Fields.
He has a treasure chest of highlight reel plays that I can’t stop myself from sharing. And now, with camp starting, I’d bet on seeing Fields uncork a few breath-taking throws throughout the summer.
But it’s not just me being hyped about Fields’ arrival. It’s the collective entirety of Bears fandom who are all in on the guy. The latest evidence is in this round of jersey sales:
The NFLPA reports Justin Fields has the highest-selling jersey among rookies. More Fields jerseys have been purchased than contemporaries such as first overall pick Trevor Lawrence, which is quite an accomplishment. I mean, people have been thirsting over Trevor Lawrence Jaguars jerseys since last December. Notably missing from the top-5 is Jets QB Zach Wilson, who still doesn’t have a rookie contract in place. Good luck with that, Jets.
Anyway, I’m digging the support Bears fans are giving Fields by way of jersey sales. Especially since it’s been a steady stream from jump street. On what was a record-breaking draft night, Fields’ jersey was the No. 2 best-seller in the country. A month later, Fields jerseys were three of the top five selling jerseys in the NFL. Now, Fields sits alone at the top.
Jeez! You’d think Bears fans were starving for a quarterback to wrap their arms around and love based on these trends.
