There aren’t too many occasions in life where you get a second chance at getting an opportunity to do something you really want. At least, there aren’t as many as romantic comedies I’ve watched over the years would make you think. But for Aaron Rodgers, the door for a second chance at a dream job is opening.

The opportunity to host Jeopardy! is a thing again! That’s because Mike Richards, recently pegged to take over in the large footsteps left behind by Alex Trebek, is stepping down before he can even get things rolling. I’m sure there is no shortage of people who want the job, but getting Rodgers to do it could help kill two birds with one stone.
Rodgers told Adam Schein on Sirius XM’s Mad Dog Sports Radio said he would’ve considered taking the gig had the Jeopardy! team found a way to make it work with his schedule. In other words, he would’ve tried to host and play football at the same time. That’s ambitious, to be sure. And while double-dipping seems like a fun idea from the start, I wonder how long it would take for Rodgers to want to put aside the helmet and shoulder pads. Football is cool. But there’s a certain job security that comes with a position that doesn’t involve needing to elude Khalil Mack, Roquan Smith, and Akiem Hicks.
And as far as I’m concerned, giving Rodgers job options that include leaving the NFC North are my favorite. So … let’s make magic happen, people! Bonus points if future episodes hosted by Rodgers come with a variety of trolling possibilities.
