Andy Dalton has been looking spry early, throwing for a touchdown and rushing for some chunk plays on scrambles.
But one play has him out of action:
Andy Dalton is in the blue injury tent after that scramble. He was limping as he made his way to the tent, too. Justin Fields could get an extended run here for the Bears.

Dalton ran for a chunk of yards on 1st-and-20 early in the second quarter, but landed funky after the 14-yard run. Justin Fields took over for the rest of the drive, but it resulted in an injury. And while Dalton came back for one drive, he didn’t look quite right, and then the broadcast showed Dalton walking to the locker room. Assuming he doesn’t come back – either in this half or the next – Justin Fields will take over.
We’ll stay on this as it develops. Because as much as we want to see Fields, we never wanted it to happen like this.
